I'm currently pursuing an MSc in Financial Engineering at HEC Montréal, after completing a BSc in Actuarial Mathematics (minor in Computer Science) at Concordia University, where I graduated with the Eric O'Connor Mathematics Medal and a handful of other academic and merit scholarships.
Alongside my studies, I've built a wide range of professional experience in quantitative finance, after starting out in data science and insurance. I've also worked on academic research, including an NSERC-funded undergraduate publication in reinforcement learning.
I keep a small number of students at a time so every session stays focused and prepared, not rushed.
Real responses from my post-session feedback form.
"You take the time to explain everything that is important in great detail. Teachers will present something and not explain what it is or why we need it. You make sure we know what it is, why we need it, and how it applies to the material."
"My understanding increased a lot after our sessions, and I know you're the only reason I was able to pass the class. What we'd cover in a 3-hour session probably would've taken me 1-2 days on my own."
"I went from being terrified of the course to getting A+ across all my classes. If you want strong grades, take Peter as a tutor. He's one of the best, and he actually understands the material in depth instead of just reading off slides."
"My understanding changed, and so did my grades: I went from 51% to 72%. Your explanations are a lot more clear; you take your time on each subject and really make sure I understand before moving on."
